Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
A movie based on the #1 New York Times Bestseller, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone! Action-Packed! A boy named Harry Potter grows up with his snooty aunt and purple-nosed uncle. They have a son, Dudley, who is overweight, gross, and, well, a pig! Then, one day, letters start coming! And for Harry, who thinks he's a normal boy. He has never gotten mail in his life! His aunt and uncle move to a little shack on a rock in the middle of the ocean. But that doesen't stop Hagrid, the half-giant, from finding Harry! And then he, Harry finds out who he really is: Harry Potter, the wizard!
From then on, things are different. First, Harry buys supplies with Hagrid in the mysterious Diagon Alley. A little while later, when Harry is ready to board the Hogwarts Express, he faces a problem. Where is Platform 9 3/4? And there's where Harry meets the Weasleys. Mrs. Weasley helps Harry find the Platform. He and Ron, one of Mrs. Weasley's sons, instantly become friends.
Hogwarts, one of the finest wizarding schools in the world (or the finest, as Hagrid would say, under the finest headmaster, Albus Dumbledore), is where Harry spends the next year, learning about potions, transfiguration, herbology, charms, and many other subjects in the wizarding school. He even becomes the youngest seeker in a century!
